high pressure water jetting underwater is a special application with extraordinary challenges for the operators and the technology. the conditions for the jetting work underneath the water surface is completely different from the water jetting on land: because of the natural draft of the diver it is nearly impossible to resist the recoil of the ultra high pressure water jetting. to balance these forces, the falch "underwater unit" is used. only in this way the operator can work target-oriented under water. with this technology it is possible e.g. to remove shells from ship hulls or harbors without problems. but also in the concrete renovation is occasionally blasted underwater, e.g. when concrete is removed in hydraulic constructions as power stations, dams or harbors.
